This Thought Freaks Me Out.

I'm really worried about my son driving a car. Never mind he's only 5, but that day has already started to freak me out. And I mean, FREAK ME OUT!!!

In the meantime, we need to invent a "Kid Car." I visualize a big, obnoxious automobile with "TEENAGER DRIVING" plastered on the front, sides, and back. The thing should be a very BRIGHT color...maybe orange or yellow. It needs some HUGE signal lights. Of course, the motor will max-out at 70mph and it would be wired so that cellphones are dysfunctional. As for the radio, well, the speakers can only get so loud.

I need more suggestions.

  1. A built in breathalyzer? The car doesn't unlock if they're over the limit? In fact I think ALL cars should have one...

    Great blog btw!

  2. Thanks Lady A and that's a GREAT add to the Kid Car.

  3. How about something that requires them to put $1 away for future tuition for every $1 they spend in gas? Maybe like a bill changer in the door or something? Oh, and something to disable cell phones within so many feet of the car. Like Lady A said, that should probably be a required feature of all cars.

  4. How about the whole car is made out of recycled rubber tires and bounces safely off anything it hits?

  6. One seat, because driving friends around leads to the really stupid decisions in life?

  7. Make it a cool "virtual" car that he can drive anywhere from the safety of his bedroom. Kids like video games, right?

  8. Oh, kids love their video games. That's another topic I soon need to address. My boy basically owns my iPhone and something needs to be said.
